Ewald K. Keller, age 93, of Gaylord, Minnesota, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Bayside Manor in Gaylord.
Masonic Service followed by the Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, 11:00 A.M.at the United Church of Christ in Gaylord, Minnesota, with interment in the Gaylord City Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., 2 hours prior, ALL at the church.

Obituary
Ewald Karl Keller was born on November 25, 1930, in Rolling Green Township, Martin County, Minnesota. He was the son of William and Bertha (Luettjohann) Keller. Ewald was baptized as an infant on June 21, 1931, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on March 25, 1945, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Welcome, Minnesota. He received his education in rural Martin County.
Ewald entered the U.S. Army in March of 1951. He served his country during the Korean War and received an honorable discharge in March of 1953, having achieved the rank of Corporal. After his discharge, Ewald resided in New Ulm, Minnesota.
On August 1, 1954, Ewald was united in marriage to Ruby Lehman at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, Minnesota. After their marriage the couple resided in New Ulm, Minnesota, until moving to Gaylord, Minnesota, in 1955. Ewald and Ruby shared 69 years of marriage.
Ewald was a member of the United Church of Christ in Gaylord, the Masonic Lodge #209 of Winthrop, and the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post #433 in Gaylord.
Ewald was employed by the Klossner Elevator from 1953-1955. In 1955, he moved to Gaylord and worked for Sommer’s Grain and Feed for 23 years. In 1978, he was employed with Tri-County Agri Builders in Gaylord until he retired in 1990.
Ewald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and using a metal detector. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
When he needed assistance with his care, Ewald became a resident of Bayside Manor in Gaylord and passed away there on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 93 years. Blessed be his memory.
Ewald is survived by his:
Wife, Ruby Keller of Gaylord, MN;
Nieces and Nephews, Larry McMurtry and his wife, Trudy, Anita McMurtry, Mike Simon and his wife, Dee, Jim Simon and his wife, Leigh, and Debbie Simon;
other relatives and friends.
Ewald was preceded in death by his Parents, Fredrick and Bertha Keller; Brothers, Edgar Keller and Arthur Keller; Sisters, Clara McMurtry and Elsie Simon; Brothers-In-Law, Glen McMurtry and Ernest Simon; Nephew, Ronald McMurtry.
