Frieda Ruth Hennessey

Obituary

Frieda Ruth (Fischer) Hennessey was born on August 27, 1930, in Litchfield, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Anthony and Cordelia (Dahlmann) Fischer. Frieda was baptized as an infant on September 21, 1930, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 29, 1945, both by W.G. Voigt at Evangelical Lutheran Church in McLeod County, Minnesota. She received her education in Litchfield, Minnesota, graduating with the Litchfield High School Class of 1948.

Frieda was blessed with four sons, Alan, Keith, Gary and Brian.  In 1959, she made her home in Glencoe, Minnesota. 

In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Frieda worked at First Evangelical Lutheran School as a cook, Glencoe Hospital in housekeeping and sewed for people through the years.  She was a faithful member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.  

Frieda enjoyed puzzles, sewing costumes for Glencoe Days, listening to Bandwagon and watching the Minnesota Twins and Lynx.  Frieda valued spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she cared for deeply. 

Frieda passed away on November 2, 2017, at her home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 5 days.  Blessed be her memory.
