Genora L. Travis, age 78, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Augustana Lakeside Healthcare Center in Dassel, Minnesota.
Obituary
Genora L. Travis was born on August 5, 1940, in De Queen, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Floyd and Cora (Pannell) Trump. Genora grew up in Piedmont, California and graduated from Piedmont High School. Genora always knew she wanted to be a nurse and graduated from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, California, completing her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse.
On September 3, 1960, Genora was united in marriage to Gary Travis in Carson City, Nevada. This marriage was blessed with 5 children, Gary, Shawn, Paul, Ryan, and Alicia. Genora and Gary resided in Chanhassen, Minnesota for 30 years and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for several years before beginning their 19+ year adventure, sailing the south pacific. Genora and Gary shared 58 years of marriage.
Genora held employment at several hospitals including Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN. Genora found her true passion in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii where she specialized in Hospice care. Genora’s patients meant so much to her.
Genora also enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and strangers alike and playing scrabble. She spent many years traveling around the world and sailing with Gary on their boat.
Genora passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Augustana Lakeside Healthcare Center in Dassel, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years.

Many other relatives and friends.
Genora was preceded in death by her Parents, Floyd, and Cora Trump; Biological father, Coy Burt; Half Sister, Brenda Armer.
