I worked with Gerri for two years at HTI and she kind of took me under her wings while I was there. She was a wonderful mentor to me and I have so many fond memories of her. She shared stories of her family as I did mine and many laughs and prayers went to the heavens.. one day I received a box in the mail and she sent me a beautiful tea set that I still use and have today. What a kind and thoughtful and surprised gift it was…I remember going to her home and seeing her collection of chicken covered bowls. (they were beautiful all around her kitchen ) the funniest story was when she allowed me to give her a ride home in my car called ‘Rusty’ cause it was rusty and the ceiling material of the car was falling down and Gerri always wore her hair in a beautiful bouffant hair style and she would have to hold the ceiling material up so as not to mess her hair. She was one classy woman…so sorry to hear of her passing to you especially Sidney ( and yes she told me the story of how you won some meat at the elk lodge and it got left there ) now when I pass an elk lodge I think of her and that story. I never did find out if it was found. My prayers for His peace and comfort at this time and all the days to follow. Sincerely Robin Puckett, Grove City MN
