Gilbert Stuedemann

Obituary

Gilbert Clarence Stuedemann was born on March 15, 1938, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Albert and Lillian (Dierfeldt) Stuedemann Sr. Gilbert was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in Glencoe and was a graduate of the Glencoe High School Class of 1956.

On July 15, 1960, Gilbert was united in marriage to Pearl Haag at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Peace in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. He was a dedicated farmer, who worked for the Norell family, Lloyd Tollefson and Gordon Schmidt. Gilbert and Pearl were blessed with four children and they shared 59 years of marriage.

Gilbert was a member of Scandian Grove Lutheran Church in Norseland. He was an active member at church and especially enjoyed helping with the Lutefisk suppers at church.

Gilbert enjoyed square dancing, polka dancing, playing cards, and watching professional sports. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gilbert passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Hennepin County Medical Center at the age of 81 years. Blessed be his memory.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his Parents, Albert and Lillian Stuedemann Sr.; Sisters, Shirley (Willis) Stuedemann, Dora Stuedemann in infancy and Carol Heldt; Brothers, Albert Stuedemann Jr., and Earl Stuedemann.
