Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Gordy’s passing. He played such a big role in our childhood, visiting us for coffee, dinners, helping him on his farm with weeding the beans or helping him around his farm, always teasing us with his silly sense of humor. He was always so good to our family. He was like an uncle to us. He will always have a special place in my heart. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I would like attend his service but not sure if able to be there.
Love and hugs,
Brad Bohlin family

As one of the “younger” cousins, by about 10 years, I have very fond memories of Gordie. He was a “casual” visitor to our home. Before some of us had a phone, that’s how most of our visitors were. When we cousins would see Gordie’s car coming up the driveway, we knew we would have fun. He loved to play cards, (Buck Euchre) sp?, Schnozle, etc. Or, we would just visit about times past and where so and so came from. One time, when I was thinking about our ancestry, I asked Gordie where Grandma Koelln came from, (meaning country), he said “Brainerd” . Then I got him to try to clarify it a little, and he thought her family came to the US through Canada. Gordie loved parties, especially birthday parties, and, “Thank you” to Linda and Gary, and Debbie and Griff, for putting on Gordie’s annual birthday parties. I know he truly enjoyed them all! We will truly miss Gordy at family gatherings. Blessed be his memory.

Gordy was always part of our family and we enjoyed his visits and joking around. He was such good company for our Mom when she was here with us. It made me feel good knowing he was always there for her. I was so glad that I seen him this year when I was back visiting. You will be missed by all. Love Kay
