Service Information
Grace M. Zumberg, age 95, of Dassel, formerly Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Augustana Lakeside Healthcare Center in Dassel.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 15, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Grace Marie Zumberg was born on February 14, 1924, in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Emma (Kossow) Fischer. She received her education at Cedar Mills country school.
On December 29, 1945, Grace was united in marriage to Delmer Zumberg in Cedar Mills Township, Minnesota. Grace and Delmar enjoyed visiting people and socializing. They shared 47 years of marriage until the passing of Delmer on January 2, 1992.
Grace was employed as the Head Cook for Meeker Memorial Hospital from 1968 to 1986. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Grace enjoyed bingo, jigsaw puzzles and going to the casino. She also enjoyed gardening and going out to eat with friends. She especially cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Grace passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Augustana Lakeside Healthcare Center in Dassel, at the age of 95 years.

Grace is survived by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Grace is preceded in death by her Parents, William and Emma Fischer; Husband, Delmar Zumberg.

She was a very special lady I got to meet her at the Lakeside nursing home and she made me smile everyday I came to work, she would wave at me as I was washing dishes from across the dining room, I will miss her so much but the angels are the lucky ones now they get to have Grace’s presence with them.
