Harold C. Jackson, age 94, of Gaylord, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota, with internment in the Gaylord City Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00 P.M.–7:00 P.M. at American Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, ALL at the church.

Obituary
Harold Charles Jackson was born on March 23, 1932, in Starbuck, Pope County, Minnesota. He was the son of Elmer W. and Lillian (Loen) Jackson. Harold was baptized at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck on June 8, 1932, and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Starbuck on April 28, 1946. He received his education in Starbuck and graduated in May 1949. He furthered his education while in the Military Service through the Troop Information and Education while in the Military Service as well at the University of Minnesota while working for Minnesota Valley Breeders Assn. He was inducted in the Military Service in December 5, 1952 and served in the Korean War. During his time in Korea, he was involved in combat serving with the 25th Division, he was there during the signing of the Truce with North Korea. He graduated from the Division Leadership School and was invited back as an instructor of the Leadership School. He was separated from the Military Service at Fort Carson, Colorado in December 1954. He then worked for Minnesota Valley Breeder Association and worked with University of Minnesota, Dr. Ed Graham in the Ag Department as well as a technician serving the Gaylord Area. He worked with Dr. Graham on several experimental projects along with Dr. Wally Erickson of Westby, Wisconsin. In 1965 he worked for CENEX as a Field Representative living in Montevideo, Minnesota. He then managed the Cooperative at Minneota for four years and then went back on the Field Staff as a District Manager moving back to Gaylord. During his time on the field staff he was one of three staff members to receive the top award for sales in his district. He worked for CENEX until retirement in 1994.
On November 22, 1952, Harold was united in marriage to Audrey Lagred at Benson, Minnesota. To this marriage Harold and Audrey were blessed with four children, Charles, Douglas, Kevin and Carrie. They shared 25 years of marriage when Audrey passed away on April 3, 1978. On June 2, 1979, Harold was married to Delores Lindorff, and they lived in Gaylord until her passing on August 27, 2021.
During Harold’s time living in Gaylord, Montevideo and Minneota, he was involved in several civic organizations in these communities. He was involved in the Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He received a Merit Award while living in Minneota for the annual award of “Giving Above Self”, award from the Rotary Club and Community. His involvement in the civic organizations was in leadership positions and one of his best was the Gaylord Legion Honor Guard as its coordinator for 26 years. He was involved in his church, American Lutheran Church, Gaylord, since it was organized in 1962 and the only time he wasn’t was when he wasn’t living in Gaylord for 7 years.
He had a retirement hobby of woodworking, and he made several projects for the church. He enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting with his family, playing cards and watching his family members and grandchildren being involved in sports and competing. Delores and Harold made several trips overseas to Europe, Russia and Norway. Harold went back to Korea in 2011, with son Charles and was amazed at the progress that country had made since he left there in 1954.
Harold passed away on June 18, 2026, and he leaves his family members including Sons, Charles Jackson and wife, Lynn, Douglas Jackson and wife, Amy, Kevin Jackson and wife, Brenda; Daughter, Carrie Trcka; Stepdaughter, Rachelle Nickels and husband, Ed; Grandchildren, Angela Baca, Heather Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Brett (Joy) Jackson, Katie (Adam) Dirlam, Cody (Paige) Jackson, Audra (Aaron) Schiffler, Alyssa (J) Hamilton and Nicolas Trcka; Great Grandchildren, Mikayla, Maya, Abigail, Canon, Brynn, Brooks, Eiley, Leighton, Celine, Bryer, Rhett, Wyatt, Oliver, Lillian, Jack, Adaline, Jameson and Conley; Sister, Carol; and Brother, Roger, other relatives and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his Parents, Elmer and Lillian Jackson; Stepmother, Emma Jackson; first wife, Audrey Jackson; second wife, Delores Jackson; Son-in-law, Todd Trcka; Grandson, Chase Jackson; Sisters, Corrine, Doris and Harriet; Brothers, Eldred and DeWayne; Sisters-in-Law, Corrine Jackson, Marlys Jackson; Brothers-in-Laws, Juliet Sylvester, Conrad Johnson, and Arnold Braaten.
