Irene Beich, age 88, of Hutchinson passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Private Graveside Services will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Penn Township, McLeod County.
Obituary
Irene Adeline Beich was born on December 7, 1927, in Round Grove Township, rural Fernando, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Paul and Hedwig (Klitzke) Beich. She was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart. Irene received her education at District #50 School in Round Grove Township.
Irene was married to Gerhardt Muffelman on June 8, 1951, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Penn Township. She resided on the family farm in Brownton and helped with farming and homemaker duties. In 1981 she moved to Hutchinson along with her mother and brother and assisted with taking care of them.
Irene was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Penn Township.
Irene enjoyed gardening, listening to old time music, reading, going to church and she enjoyed babysitting for relatives and friends. She will always be remembered for her kindness.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Irene became a resident of Harmony River Living Center on November 23, 2015, and passed away there on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the age of 88 years. Blessed be her memory.

Great Nephews, Chad Fisher and wife, Kelly of Arlington, MN, Corey Fisher and his wife, Heidi Jo of Arlington, MN, and Justin Uecker and his wife, Erin of Mayer, MN;
Great-Great Nieces, Gretta Fisher and Seaton Uecker, Ellen and Victoria Henry;
Great-Great Nephews, Landon and Nolan Fisher;
Many other relatives and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her Parents, Paul and Hedwig Beich; Brother, Erwin Beich; Brother-In-Law, Raymond Harbarth; Nephew-In-Law, Phil Trebelhorn.
