Irene "Moo" Seefeldt, age 79, of Ellsworth Township, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, March 6th, 2016, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, with interment at Ripley Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Irene Mary "Moo" Seefeldt was born on May 26, 1936, in Ellsworth Township, Meeker County, Minnesota, at her parent's home. She was the daughter of William and Mary (Peltz) Schmidt. Irene was baptized as an infant on August 16, 1936, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, by Reverend Francis Neumann. Irene received her first communion and was confirmed on July 15, 1948, by Father Henry J. Byrnes. She received her education at country school District #46 and #24 and received her Hutchinson High School Equivalence Certificate on May 18, 1967.
On September 9, 1954, Irene was united in marriage to Harvey Seefeldt, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. by Father Marion Casey. This marriage was blessed with two children, Larry and Pamela. Irene and Harvey resided and farmed in Ellsworth Township, Minnesota. They shared 58 years of marriage until Harvey passed away on September 18, 2012.
Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Irene was a hard worker. She worked at Tonka Toys in Mound, Minnesota, from 1967 to 1968. In June 1968, Irene began working at 3M in Hutchinson, MN. She continued to work there for 28 years until she retired in June 1996. Irene was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield, Minnesota, since 1998.
Irene enjoyed tending to her gardens, taking pictures with her camera, and putting together photo books. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television shows such as; American Pickers, Wheel of Fortune, On the Road with Jason Davis, and House Hunters. She also enjoyed going to fish fry's, garage sales, and listening to old time music by Wally Pikal. Irene and Harvey loved to go dancing when they had barn dances. She adored animals and had a special bond with dogs. Irene especially cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
Irene passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years. Blessed be her memory.

Children, Larry Seefeldt and his wife, Gloria of Litchfield, MN,
Pamela Groskreutz and her husband, Randy of Hutchinson, MN; Grandchildren, Jereme Seefeldt, Sara Groskreutz and Erin Groskreutz;
Many other relatives and friends.
