James D. Mitsche

Obituary

James D. Mitsche was born on November 13, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the son of Jacob and Bernice (Warner) Mitsche. He was baptized as an infant in his Catholic Faith. He received his education at Shakopee High School.  James grew up in Bagley, Savage and Shakopee, Minnesota.

James entered active military service in the United States Air Force in 1961 and served his country in the Korean War. He received his Honorable Discharge in 1963.

On April 28, 1970, James was united in marriage to Marlene Schrupp, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with 2 Children, James and Jason. James and Marlene resided in Savage and Stewart, Minnesota most of their married life. James and Marlene recently resided in Hutchinson, Minnesota and shared 47 years together.

James started his career in construction as a young boy. He worked at various construction companies and most recently owned and operated his own Construction Business, JD Mitsche Construction.

James enjoyed reading, Goodwill shopping, garage sales and companion fishing with his wife, Marlene. He also enjoyed working on cars with his sons, James and Jason. James especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.

After a strong battle with cancer, James entered Hutchinson Health Hospital on Friday, September 28, 2018 and was transferred to Abbott Northwestern Hospital on Monday, October 1, 2018. James passed away there on October 3, 2018, at the age of 74 years.

Wife, Marlene, of Hutchinson, MN;

Children, James Mitsche Jr. and his wife, Bonita, of Deland, FL,

                 Jason Mitsche and his wife, Erica, of Fargo, ND;

Grandchildren, Nickolas Mitsche, Abby Mitsche, Jacob Mitsche, Dustin Habelton, Desiree Edwards and her husband, Jamison, Derek Hableton, Kaelee Mitsche, William Mitsche;

5 Great Grandchildren;

Sister, Patricia Stensrud, of Chaska, MN;

Sister-In-Laws, Elaine Mitsche, of Sauk Centre, MN,

  Karen Bentz and her husband, Brad of Hamburg, MN;

Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

James is proceeded in death by Parents, Jacob and Bernice (Warner) Mitsche; Stepfather, Walter Ames; Brother, Louis Mitsche; Sister-In-Law, Eunice Schrupp; Brother-In-Law, Richard Schrupp.
