David Anderson says
Jim was my best friend in high school. We played on the basketball team together and before each game my dad would drop off steaks at his house and Jim’s mom Alice would cook dinner for us. We kept in touch periodically but, after settling in our careers, the most fun was when Jim would travel to Indianapolis in May to attend the Indy 500 with our family. Jim was the most frugal person I have ever known. When we went out for lunch, during visits in Hutchinson, he would always have coupons for us to use! I will remember my good friend with very fond memories.
Mike Skucius says
Jim did like those Indy trips. You will also be happy to know he maintained his frugality. Joy and I had lunch with him monthly. He brought the Arby’s or Burger King coupons (occasionally Joy would go off script and order something without a coupon…)

Rest in Peace my lunch time ice skating friend.
