The memories we have with Jim and the entire Hughes family remain as some of the most meaningful and delightful ones ever. As neighbors in “Southbrook”, and as colleagues in the Grain Business–images of our dear friend are abounding, fresh and heartwarming. We love Jim! We bless the Hughes family for carrying on the legacy left by Jim and Mary. So many thoughts and deep prayers are going out to you today and as you go through this difficult time.
Bill Pedersen says
My heart goes out to the Hughes family at the news of Jim’s death.
My memories go back to the early days as cousins spent time at their family
cabin at Lake Hubert with “Aunt Phil and “Uncle Frank”.
And then later days at the Grain Exchange in Minneapolis.
Sorry we couldn’t keep closer in touch.
Veronica Hughes says
Thanks so very much for all your kind words. Unfortunately, this was missed in the obituary…we are having a celebration of life for dad at John and Veronica’s home on Friday at 5pm. 12675 Dodd Ct. Rosemount, MN
We would love to see everyone.
Judy and Scott Hackett says
Thank you for including this invitation that continues the celebration of your dad’s life longer while you are all together. The Memorial Service today was very special…the words of the Priest, the songs of praise, the Honor Guard, and especially the remarks from Theresa touched the hearts of all. Those of us who will always love Jim, and treasure the times with the Hughes family in their growing up years, found it poignant and very sad that “they were once 7, and now only 3 are left”. You are strong, you are courageous, you are the survivors. May the Lord bring lovingkindness, grace, and long life to you, the children and grandchildren of Jim and Mary as you carry on. Know that you are remembered fondly and are loved.
