Obituary
Janet Helen Margaret Krienke was born on November 11, 1936, in Henderson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Heinrich and Esther (Bird) Rannow. Janet was baptized as an infant on November 22, 1936, and was later confirmed in her faith on February 19, 1954, both at the Evangelical Church in Henderson. She received her education in Henderson and was a graduate of the Henderson High School Class of 1954. She furthered her education by earning an LPN Degree.
On September 26, 1953, Janet was united in marriage to Arvid Krienke at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Henderson by Rev. O. Mann. This union was blessed with four children; Carol, Roland, Marlin, and David. Janet and Arvid lived in Gaylord and Rochester before settling back in the Glencoe area in 1960. They shared over 55 years of marriage when Arvid passed away on January 5, 2009.
Janet was employed as an LPN in Waconia for 17 years, and at the Good Samaritan Society in Arlington for 17 years, and 10 years at the McLeod County Day Activity Center (Biscay, MN and Winsted, MN), retiring in 1998. Janet was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.
Janet enjoyed crocheting, and gardening, her favorite to grow were roses, and she was an avid Vikings fan. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She LOVED to spoil them ALL over the years.
When Janet needed help with her daily care, she entered GlenFields Living With Care in Glencoe in February 2021. Janet passed away there on January 9, 2024, at the age of 87 years. Blessed be her memory.
