Obituary
Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Boesche was born on September 22, 1958, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Edward and Eileen (Engelke) Boesche. Jeff was baptized as an infant on October 12, 1958, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 29, 1973, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota. Jeff spent most of his childhood in Plato, MN, and was forever proud of his small-town roots. Jeff received his education in Glencoe and was a graduate with the Glencoe High School Class of 1977. He continued his education at the Minnesota School of Banking at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
On October 21, 1989, Jeff was united in marriage to Donna Mae Schrupp at the Church of the Ascension in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Glencoe. Jeff and Donna were blessed with three children, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, and Michael. They shared 33 years of marriage together.
Jeff worked in various banking positions for 36 years until his retirement in July 2020. The majority of this time was spent at Security Bank and Trust. Jeff was a long-time member of the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Brownton Lion’s Club. Jeff had a very strong faith in the Lord and read his devotionals daily. He was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato where he served as a deacon and as a member of the church board.
Jeff enjoyed grilling, biking, and playing an occasional game of solitaire. He was a true history buff and he enjoyed watching old-time western and monster movies. Two of his favorite things were meeting up with the morning coffee group to catch up on the latest news and visiting the local breweries with family. Jeff cherished the time he spent with his family and friends; most recently, spending as much time as he could with his new grandson, William.
Jeff passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 64 years old.
Blessed be his memory.

Our hearts are broken and we are numb. God , grant us all grace, peace in our hearts, and wisdom as we all grieve and celebrate Jeff’s rich, but too short, life. Bless Mrs. Boesche as she buries her son, Donna as she buries her husband, Jon, Kaitlyn, Michael, and Sophie and Luke as they bury their father and father-in-law. I am so thankful Jeff came into our lives. What a wonderful grandpa he was to William!! Eternal rest grant to Jeff, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.

Truly saddened by the news of the sudden loss of Jeff from this earth. There are never the right words to lessen the loss or remove the pain from your heart at this time we know, but do hope in the days ahead there will be cherished memories that remind you of the love he gave to you and all who knew him. It is so very hard to understand why the good ones are taken too soon from us- may Jeff continue to touch you with the love he shared and may his light be your forever guide in the days that lie ahead.
Prayers and Peace be with you, your family and all who knew your beloved Jeff.
Mary Ellen Jobczynski says

I was completely overcome when I read about Jeff’s death, today. Just a little over two weeks ago I cut his hair, and we had the usual joking, “solving the world’s problems” conversation. Life is such a gift.
I went to the All Soul’s Day Mass tonight, as I felt the need to be there, to pray for Jeff and others. I pray you and your whole family, Donna, will be consoled, in the knowledge of God’s infinite goodness and plan. May Jeff rest in eternal peace.

Donna and family,
I am so sorry that your Jeff had to leave you. My heart aches for you. Not enough tears in heaven or on earth. God knows our pain. It’s hard to say goodbye, but in time the memories help. You all are in my prayers and thoughts. May Jesus wrap his arms around you now and in the days to come. Gods blessings and hugs from me.

Donna and and the entire Boesche family-
The picture you chose for this entry is exactly how I will remember Jeff. Always a smile and a sparkle in his eye. Such a nice guy, and gone way too soon. I pray for God’s peace to be with you in the days ahead, as you navigate this difficult journey. I will miss seeing him around town, and of course at our class reunions. May his soul Rest In Peace.

To Donna and family –
Eileen, Jon & Julie, Joel & Steph –
To hear of Jeff’s passing hit really hard. After being confirmed with him at St. John’s, all the Sunday school, release time classes, Plato elementary school and the rest…I am sad for all of you. Jeff was truly a person of compassion. He treated EVERYONE well. He lived a life of love – love God and love people. May you all find comfort in knowing he will rest easy in God’s arms. Share love in the way he shared love, and know you will re-unite with him once again in glory and grace. God’s Blessings of comfort at this time.
