Service Information
John Clancy, age 54, of Hector, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at his home.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2017, at 4:00 P.M. at the Hector Events Center, 160 Birch Avenue East, in Hector.
Interment will be held in the Hector City Cemetery.
Everyone is welcome to return to the Hector Events Center following burial for coffee and conversation, a time to remember John and share memories.
Obituary
John Patrick Clancy was born July 8, 1962, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the son of Thomas and Sharleen (Ferguson) Clancy. The family moved to Hector where John attended school. He had been baptized as an infant, and was confirmed as a youth at the Hector United Methodist Church. He graduated with the Class of 1982 from the Hector High School.
John was married to Donna Baker in June of 1992. They eventually made Hector their home. John worked at HTI in Hutchinson from 1986 to 2000, and then for the hog farm at Churchhill. He was currently employed by Neal and Ryan Johnson.
John was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He had a tender heart for kids, and always had candy to share with them. Good memories were made taking slow drives around the countryside looking for asparagus with his daughter and son.
On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, John passed away at his home of natural causes. He had reached the age of 54 years. Blessed be his memory.
John is survived by his:
Son, Troy, of Hutchinson;
Daughter, Ashley, of Alexandria;
Granddaughter, Addilynn;
Siblings: Patty, Tom, Robin, and Michael, and their families;
Other relatives, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Sharleen Clancy.
