Juliette “Putz” Weber, age 71, of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, at her home in Winthrop.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, and will continue Wednesday at 1:00 P.M., for one hour prior to the service, all at the church.
Obituary
Juliette “Putz” Ann Weber was born on April 18, 1946, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alexander and Christina (Homan) Schweiss. Putz was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. She received her education at St. Andrew’s Catholic School and Hector High School, graduating in 1964.
On February 20, 1965, Putz was united in marriage to Leon Weber at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple resided in Winthrop. This union was blessed with four children. Putz was a bus driver for the Gibbon Fairfax Winthrop School District for 25 years and was also the Director of Camp Birchwood, north of Walker, Minnesota. She was known as “Grandma Putz.” Putz and Leon shared 52 years of marriage.
Putz enjoyed Camp Birchwood, painting, fishing, singing, and playing cards. She was an excellent cook, made the best potato salad and pickles. She loved being a grandma and great grandma. Putz cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Putz passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017, at her home in Winthrop after battling cancer for the past year at the age of 71 years. #PutzStrong. Blessed be her memory.

Putz was preceded in death by her Parents, Alexander and Christina Schweiss; Brother, Harold Schweiss; and Brother-In-Law, Dave Weber.
