I met Karen many, many years ago when I was a public health nurse. She was an awesome mother and advocate for her children.
Then, when working at Hutchinson Health I came to appreciate her professionalism and always getting back to me.
I have lost contact with her in recent years but I have fond memories and have always respected her.
Thinking of all of you,
Darlene Kotelnicki RN

Sending our sympathy & keeping all of you in our thoughts & prayers. When I saw this, it brought back many fond memories of the Cedar Mills days with Karen & Diane. St John’s Church, the girls/ladies ball teams & games, Jim’s Place, the Pub & especially all the fun times had with many of us. Karen was a great lady, she was beautiful inside & out who treasured her family very much. We can only imagine how beautiful it was when she was welcomed in Heaven by our Saving Lord, her Dad & Diane. May God Bless all of you & her memory. RIP Karen. Love, hugs & prayers for all.

I met Karen when she was working as Dr. Nissen’s nurse. She made going to the doctor easier and could cheer up a person when needed. She had a great laugh that I still remember. We used to laugh and say that she was really the one that ran the clinic. I am sorry to read of her passing.

Thoughts &prayers to all of Karen’s family (& especially to Aaron who selflessly cared for her for the last year. )
I owe so much to Karen- she was my work wife who “directed me” for almost 30 years. I know many of my patients saw me because they liked Karen so much. And there was never a dull day when Dummer was around! There will be Dummer stories told forever, she will not be forgotten. She had a huge heart for everyone.
I’ll always miss her but glad she’s at peace- and I know she’ll liven things up in heaven!

I am saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. What a glorious reunion she has had with her dad in heaven though. I was a former neighbor and babysat Aaron the summer after he was born. I never saw Karen without a smile and I am glad I was able to catch up with her in the clinic probably about 10 years ago when I was there for work. Deepest sympathy to her entire family
