Katie A. Dupre, age 36, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be Thursday, August 15, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, Minnesota, with interment at Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 12:00-2:00 P.M., two hours prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Katie Ann Dupre was born on January 24, 1988, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ronald and Debra (Haidt) Dupre. Katie was baptized as an infant in October, 1988, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Litchfield, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Litchfield High School Class of 2006.
Katie resided in Hutchinson, and later moved to rural Hector, Minnesota.
Katie was employed at various nursing homes as a cook and dietary nutritionist. She was a member of Special Olympics. Katie was also a member of the non-denominational church.
Katie enjoyed cooking, watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. She also loved biking and participating in Special Olympics track, bowling and basketball. Katie cherished time spent with her family and friends.
Katie passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Brookfield Township, rural Hector, at the age of 36 years.

Katie is preceded in death by her Uncle, Allen Kleidon.

My sympathies to the family Katie was a sweetheart .I got to know her down at bingo she was so fun to be around.I loved her laugh .She was a good friend .I’ll miss her smile and her hugs. Everyone one at bingo would call her lambchop it was her n8ck name,cause she had a keyring for good luck with lambchop on it.She will be missed she’s a Angel in my eyes. Katie worked with us for years at Zellas restaurant in Hutchinson and we all thought of her as family. She was a joyful and uplifting presence in a stressful environment and we’re all better off for having had her in our lives. God bless you, Katie.
