Obituary

Kenneth “Kenny” Earl Picha was born on September 21, 1941, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Edward and Christine (Lindholm) Picha. He was baptized as an infant on April 5, 1942, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 29, 1955 both at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe, Minnesota. Kenny graduated from Glencoe High School class of 1959.

On May 5, 1962, Kenny was united in marriage to Karen Krohn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Glencoe. Kenny and Karen’s marriage was blessed with two children, Kendall and Kathy.  They shared over 53 years of marriage.

Kenny worked as a welder at Schwartz manufacturing and then at Lester Inc. as a trucker, retiring in 1996 after suffering from a stroke. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota where he served as a trustee on the education building project.

Kenny enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, deer hunting, fishing and building things. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandson.

Kenny passed away on February 14, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Great Grandson, Mason Moen;
Brother, Ralph Picha and his wife, Carol of Glencoe, MN;
Sisters, Carol Adams of Glencoe, MN,
              Marlys Schiller of  Merrifield, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.

Kenny is preceded in death by his Parents, Edward and Christine Picha; Brothers, Harvey and Lowell Picha, Grandchildren, Kelly Jo Picha and Luke Chapman.
