Service Information

Kenneth “Ken” Paul, age 83, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, Minnesota.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, 12:00 Noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, with interment at Mau Cemetery in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., two hours prior the service at the church.

Obituary

Kenneth “Ken” George Paul was born on June 15, 1934, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.  He was the son of Eldo and Dorothy (Trierweller) Paul.  Kenneth was baptized as an infant on July 1, 1934, and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 23, 1948, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.  He received his education in Sauk Centre and Hanley Falls, Minnesota, graduating with the Hanley Falls High School Class of 1952.  Kenneth entered active military service in the United States Army on December 9, 1953, and served his country during the Korean Conflict.  He received an Honorable Discharge on December 8, 1955.

After Kenneth returned home from the service, he farmed with his dad.  He worked various jobs until he started working for Farmhand in 1974.  On August 21, 1976, Kenneth was united in marriage to Eunice Pautsch at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.  Kenneth and Eunice were blessed with 41 years of marriage.

Kenneth thoroughly enjoyed working for Farmhand where he was known as “Farmhand Answer Man”.   He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.  Kenneth was also a member of the Green Isle Volunteer Fire Department.  He tended bar at Jerry and Jones in Young America where he made many good friends.  Kenneth was a man of order who enjoyed working, gardening, playing Pinochle, and treasured his annual fishing trip to Canada with his buddies.  He loved the time spent with his family and friends.  

Kenneth passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, Minnesota, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Grandchildren, Becky (Chris) Mohler, Brian Swanson, Benjamin Swanson, Annie Jo (Rodger) Gresczyk, Casey (Angie) Ryan, Kimberly Huskinson, David Beck, Greta Beck, Ashley (Jeff) Robinson, Sophia Paul, Miranda (Matthew) Arnst, Jonathan Braunwarth, Nolan Braunwarth, Grace Braunwarth, Dustin Pautsch, Collin Pautsch (special friend, Sadie Quast);
12 Great Grandchildren;

Kenneth is preceded in death by his Parents, Eldo and Dorothy Paul; Grandson, Adam Beck; Great Grandchild, Hudson Young; Sister, Betty Johnson; Brother-In-Law, Orville Pautsch.
