Larry B. Gauger, age 66, of Hutchinson, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, July 22, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
Memorials preferred to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Mayer Lutheran High School.
Obituary
Larry Bruce Gauger was born on July 30, 1950, in Hutchinson. He was the son of Lawrence and Lorraine (Scharf) Gauger. Larry was baptized as an infant on August 13, 1950, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, Minnesota. He was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 31, 1964, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his education in Mayer, and was a graduate of the Mayer Lutheran High School Class of 1968. Larry furthered his education at Hutchinson Area Vocational School in the tool and die program.
Larry worked at Goebel Fixture Company for forty years as a cabinet maker, retiring in 2010.
Larry was a faithfully active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He was also a member of Carpenters Local 1816 Union.
Larry enjoyed fishing, walking Minnesota state parks, and traveling. He was also an avid sports fan. He loved watching sports on the television and the Hutchinson Tiger Football team. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
When he needed assistance with his daily care, Larry became a resident of N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, Minnesota, and passed away there on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the age of 66 years. Blessed be his memory.
Larry is survived by his:
Mother, Lorraine Gauger of Minnetonka, MN;
Brother, Randall Gauger and his wife, Beth of Crystal, MN;
Niece, Melissa Fishbauger and her husband, Jeff of Crystal, MN;
Nephew, Michael Gauger of Crystal, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Robert Gauger.
