Larry D. Stuber, age 84, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his home in Hutchinson.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment in the Swedlanda Lutheran Cemetery, Palmyra Township, rural Hector, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Military Honors by the Hutchinson Memorial Rifle Squad.
Obituary
Larry David Stuber was born on February 13, 1942 in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. He was the son of William and Sylvia (Leske) Stuber. Larry was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at church in Buffalo Lake. He attended Buffalo Lake Elementary school and later received his education in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1961.
Larry entered active military service in the United States Air Force on February 9, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He received an Honorable Discharge on February 8, 1966, at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, and achieved the rank of E-3 Jet Engine Mechanic.
While serving, Larry was married to Maureen Herrington. This marriage was blessed with three children, Scott, Todd, and Kristine.
On September 19, 1981, Larry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Gloria “Buffy” Lehrke, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector, Minnesota. Larry and Buffy resided in Hutchinson, Minnesota, Lake Jennie area, Las Vegas, Nevada, and later returned to Buffalo Lake. They shared 27 years of marriage until Buffy passed away on July 23, 2008.
Larry was employed at 3M in Hutchinson. He retired in 1999 after 33 years with the company. Larry was a member of the Hutchinson American Legion Post 68.
Larry had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, summer fishing, and some hunting. He has a passion for traveling, especially escaping the cold winters. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. He stated that nothing makes a man happier than hearing your grandchildren say "I love you grandpa".
Larry passed away on May 6, 2026, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 84 years.

Grandchildren, Aaron (McKenzie) Karl, Tyler (Erica) Karl, Keegan Stuber, Mackenna Stuber, Macy Stuber, Elizabeth (Christian) Bjornson, Maegan Stuber, Tasha Stuber, Jackson Stuber and Nolan Stuber;
Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his Parents, William and Sylvia Stuber; Wife, Gloria “Buffy” Stuber; Siblings, Arlis (August) Vahl, Dariel (Lester) Millbret, Eleanor (Duane) Minnick, Fern (Donald) Bach, Donald Stuber, Russell Stuber, James Stuber; Nieces, Tammy Minnick, Barb Millbrett; and Great-grandson (in infancy), Frederik Bjornson.
