Leo J. Jochum, age 101, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, with interment following in the Glencoe Catholic Cemetery in Glencoe.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., 1 hour prior to the service, ALL at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe.
Obituary
Leo J. Jochum was born on September 12, 1924, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Anthony and Nellie (Connelly) Jochum. Leo was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Glencoe and was a graduate of Stevens Seminary, Class of 1943. He served our country in World War II from 1944 to 1946.
On June 25, 1949, Leo was united in marriage to Delores Stuedemann Witte at St. George Catholic Church, Glencoe. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Leo and Delores shared nearly 55 years of marriage when Delores passed away in February 2004.
Leo and Delores made their home together on the family farm south of Glencoe until 1990. They then moved to their home in Glencoe. Leo was a member of St. George Catholic Church and later St. Pius X Catholic Church in Glencoe.
Leo passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, at the age of 101 years.

Sue Exsted (Randy); Kyle (Jen) Exsted, Caedon, Norah, Hannah, and Jude; Jamon (India) Exsted;
Diane Knutson; Michael (Kristina) Knutson, Mitchell Knutson;
Laurie Ireland; Nick (Kate) Pelant, Emrie and Eisley; Ben (Shayla) Pelant, Indie;
Sister, Jarlath Datt, Orange, California;
Many nieces and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Jochum; daughter, Patty Jochum; son-in-law, Kevin Ireland; parents, Anthony and Nellie Jochum; parents-in-law, John and Clara Witte; Brother/Sisters and spouses, Francis and Theresa Jochum, Bernie and Kitty Jochum, Mary and Harvey Neumann, John and Delores Jochum, Teresa and Karl Esslinger, Delores (Laurie) and John Cato, and Ken Datt.
Our family would like to thank the GlenFields’ Wood Land Staff, all the nurses, aides, and everyone who took such great care of our Dad. We could not have asked for better care. Glencoe is truly blessed to have such a wonderful facility.
