Obituary
Lisa Mary Schreiner was born May 27, 1979 in Hutchinson, MN, the daughter of Paul and Marilyn (Schmeling) Schreiner. She was baptized on June 10, 1979, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Lisa lived with her family until moving to Aveyron Homes on June 7, 1998. She graduated on June 11, 2000. Lisa worked at ATHC in Winsted and since this last May in Hutchinson.
Lisa loved to go camping with the motorhome at Lake Marion and played with her toys on the picnic table. Her favorite toys were buckets, strings, key tags, musical toys, dolls, purses, blankets, knee pads and balls. She enjoyed looking at pictures and photo albums. Lisa especially enjoyed long bubble baths. She enjoyed going out to eat.
She loved to rock and cuddle on mom’s lap wrapped in a soft blanket. She always looked so nice in the clothes mom bought for her. She wore a lovely ivory lace dress on her graduation day. She enjoyed music and went to concerts, and especially enjoyed going to the Reba and Toby Keith concerts with mom. She danced and clapped from the first song to the last. Her favorite color was purple, so she had a beautiful bedroom decorated in purples. She would be dressed in purples.
Lisa loved to eat fish, so whenever fish was given to her family, dad would fry fish when she came to visit on the weekend. She enjoyed riding in dad’s trucks. She relished dad’s tickling and wrestling with her and didn’t want him to stop. All the years dad and Mark were on the race team she enjoyed watching the races and wearing a racing shirt. As soon as the races were done she was excited to go into the pits to see them.
Mark was the best brother she could have wished for. He played with her all the time and made the car noise (revving an engine) she loved. When he was little he bought her a pair of white sandals telling the lady they were for his sweetheart. Sister-in-law, Denise and Lisa had an immediate connection and she could purr like a cat which brought Lisa such joy. She also liked the group hugs with Mark and Denise, and later nephew Dylan too. She was a proud aunt to hold Dylan when he was a baby and gave him hugs and kisses. She enjoyed watching him play, and he was the only one she was willing to share her toys with. She liked it when Jiminey would lick her cheek and ear.
Lisa had the biggest smile and the most contagious laugh when something was funny. Lisa knew many people and always remembered them. She was special to many people who knew her out in the community. The only way for her to communicate when greeting people was with a hug and would point to her cheek to ask for a kiss. Her family will forever cherish all Lisa’s hugs and kisses.
