Dr. Gerhard Dirlich says
When I, Gerhard Dirlich, was a child (born 1939) my parents, Helene an Wilhelm Dirlich, many times received wonderful ‘care-packets’ from family Oelfke living in Hamburg, Minnesota. I remember the Oelfkes had two sons or grandchildren named Ronald and Loren. When looking through the internet I just found this site about Loren Lenard Oelfke’s death. Perhaps he was the person whom I have never seen but he has a firm place in my memory.
Maybe my guess is wrong or right. Anyway, I send you all my good wishes for the future!

Hello, Just saw your comment today. I hope this will reach you. I am the younger sister (Marlys) of Ronald and Loren.
I remember my mother telling me about items being sent overseas. I have a doll that I was told that was sent to me
from an overseas family. I am enclosing my email in case you would like to correspond.
