Obituary
Lori Jean Glieden was born May 20, 1961 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Helen (Johnson) Greenberg. She lived on the farm located in the Minnesota River Valley until the family moved to a farm three miles east of Litchfield, Minnesota. Lori was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She attended country school near the farm and then attended and graduated from Litchfield High School. After graduation, Lori attended Willmar Vocational School in Willmar, Minnesota, and received an Associate’s Degree.
Lori met and married Scott French in 1986; seven years later they realized they were not a good match and went their separate ways. Lori knew this great guy named Barry “Bird” Glieden, and he thought she was the right person for him. On June 7, 1996, Lori and Bird married their soul mates at Grace Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, Minnesota. “Bird” was employed as a mason and Lori worked in the pharmacy at Hutchinson Hospital. They shared 27 happy years of marriage.
Bird was blessed with one son and as time went on, Lori, Bird and Tyler agreed that they should become a family. Lori adopted Tyler as her own and enjoyed watching him grow up to be successful in his work and become a loving husband and father.
Lori enjoyed helping people and “being there” for them. She had a quick wit and a whole lot of wisdom. Lori enjoyed camping, fishing, and growing beautiful flowers in the backyard of their Brownton, Minnesota home.
As Lori got older, she was struck with fibromyalgia and many allergies. She eventually quit her job because she felt she was not being fair to her fellow workers when she often had to call in sick. Lori left her job to stay at home and do the bookkeeping for Bird’s business.
Lori passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at her home in Brownton, at the age of 62, from natural causes.
Blessed be her memory.

I am SO SAD for your loss…the two of you were so sweet as a couple. Always supportive of each other, complimenting each other’s strengths. It’s hard to understand why or how these hardships happen to us. Take your time to grieve…she loved you & your family with all her heart!
