Lorraine Bethke

Obituary

Lorraine Gladys Bethke was born on January 2, 1933, in Lamberton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Blank) Dooner. Lorraine was baptized as an infant on March 4, 1934, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lamberton and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Franklin and was a graduate of the Franklin High School Class of 1951.

On October 4, 1952, Lorraine was united in marriage to Alvin Bethke at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin. After their marriage, the couple resided in Franklin. The couple was blessed with four children. Lorraine and Alvin shared 10 years of marriage before he passed away on October 24, 1962.

Lorraine was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin and the Ladies Aid.

Lorraine volunteered at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted. She enjoyed birdwatching, walking, playing Bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When she needed assistance with her daily care, Lorraine became a resident of Harmony River Living Center and passed away there on Monday, December 4, 2017, at the age of 84 years.
