Service Information

Lorraine Bertha (Voigt) Krumm, age 95, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at The Estates at Delano in Delano, Minnesota.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, with interment following in the church cemetery.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 9:30 -11:00 A.M., 1 ½ hours prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Lorraine’s name to The Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, MN.

Obituary

Lorraine Krumm was born January 30, 1931, to Alvin and Ella Sauter Voigt. She was baptized on February 29, 1931, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Helen Township, McLeod County, Glencoe, MN, by Rev. Dysterhoeft and confirmed on March 25, 1945, in St. John’s Lutheran Church by Rev. H.H. Schaller. Lorraine received her Christian education at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran School.

Lorraine was married to Edwin Clarence Krumm on October 7, 1948, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe by Pastor Alfred Streufert. Lorraine and Edwin were blessed with two children, Marjorie and Bruce. They lived their lives in Glencoe and shared 63 years of married life. Edwin passed away on October 27, 2011.

Lorraine was a life member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary Post #5102 with several responsibilities. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran church LWML Ladies Society, where she attained perfect attendance during 57 years of membership and held several responsibilities as well.

Lorraine worked at various jobs before joining the Telex Corporation of Glencoe, where she worked for 35 years, first as a molding press operator and later as a molding press machine setup and line leader.

She enjoyed playing cards, 500, and sheepshead, bingo, dancing, gardening, canning, shopping, and traveling. She traveled throughout the United States, often traveling for bowling tournaments, and to Branson, Missouri, for shows several times. She also travelled to Canada, the Bahamas, Belgium, France, and Germany. Lorraine also enjoyed embroidering, church activities, bible class, baking cookies and bars for family, especially grandchildren, and friends. She loved old-time music.

Lorraine is survived by her
daughter, Marjorie (husband Dr. Bruce) Ellingson;
daughter-in-law, Sharon Krumm;
grandchildren, Benjamin (wife, Amanda) Ellingson, Nathan (wife, Jenny) Ellingson, Dr. Zachary Krumm, Dr. Connor Krumm (wife, Dr. Laura Matuszewska), Kenzie (husband, Gable) Verschoor;
brother, Arnie (wife, Jeanne) Voigt;
great-grandchildren, Cale, Phoenix, Astraya, and Trinity Ellingson;
many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Krumm; son, Bruce Krumm; parents, Alvin and Ella Voigt; parents-in-law, Jacob and Amelia Krumm; brothers and their spouses, Elroy (Gladys) Voigt, Harvey (Elaine) Voigt and Maynard (Dorothy) Voigt; sisters and their spouses, Delores (Eddie) Streich, Caroline (Lester) Vogt, and Gladys (LeRoy) Alsleben; In-laws, Willard and Lillian Scharpe, Edwin and Elenora Homan, Victor and Lucille Ide, and Eddie Brelje.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Croix Hospice and The Estates at Delano for the care and compassion they showed to Mom.
