On March 11, 1951, Lucile was united in marriage to J. Merlyn Danielson from Dassel, Minnesota. They were married at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson during a blizzard. This marriage was blessed with six children, Robert (died in infancy), Richard (died at age 4), Nancy, Scott, Susan and Karen. They shared 62 years of marriage until Merlyn passed away on November 12, 2013. They spent their entire life in Hutchinson.
Lucile worked for 42 years with the Hutchinson school district, first as a secretary, then in the accounting department. She was a charter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

During the summers, she planned the annual summer camping trip for the family and saw many parts of the western and southern United States, as well as Canada. During Lucile and Merlyn’s 24 years of retirement, they continued to travel by taking many tours to Europe, the Holy Land, Alaska, Hawaii and the eastern states. She had visited all 50 states. Lucile enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Lake Washington with her family and cherished her time with her eight grandchildren.
In January 2012, Lucile and Merlyn moved from their home of 52 years into the Ecumen Oaks Assisting Living in Hutchinson. Lucile completed over 10 years on dialysis.
