Lucille Ruehling, age 94, of Gaylord passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
Funeral Service will be Friday, November 13th, 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12th, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday
Obituary
Lucille May (Otto) Ruehling was born on April 4, 1921, in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Adolph and Emelia (Schlingmann) Otto. Lucille was baptized as an infant on April 24, 1921, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 14, 1935, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. She received her education in Belle Plaine.
Lucille was united in marriage to Roy Ruehling on November 29, 1939, in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Belle Plaine. In 1948, they moved to Gaylord and continued farming in Sibley County, Minnesota. Lucille was a loving mother and homemaker. Lucille and Roy were blessed with four children and they shared 60 years of marriage, before Roy passed away on July 21, 2000.
Lucille was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, the Women’s League and Altar Guild.
Lucille enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, traveling and her chickens. She was known by family and friends for her loving smile. Lucille left fond memories of time with family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Lucille became a resident of Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord and passed away there on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the age of 94 years. Blessed be her memory.

Grandchildren, Jeana (Clint) Wibstad, Lynnea (David) Myers, Todd (Cheryl) Trippel, Troy Trippel, Michael (Elyssa) Piotter, James (Alicia) Piotter, Jason (Jill) Ruehling;
Great-Grandchildren, Mason, Derek, Jenna Trippel; Davis, Jacquelyn, Dawson, Josilyn Wibstad; and Jack Ruehling;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her Parents, Adolph and Emelia Otto; Husband, Roy Ruehling; Son-In-Law, Frederick Trippel; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Merrill and Edith Otto, Edward and Frieda Otto, Harold and Florence Otto, and Vernon and Viola Otto.
