Service Information
Lyndon O. Anderson, age 86, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Buffalo Lake Health Care Center in Buffalo Lake.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 P.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Lyndon Orlin Anderson was born on December 19, 1936, in Hector, Minnesota. He was the son of Louis and Emily (Anderson) Anderson. Lyndon was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector. He received his education in Hector, and was a graduate of the Hector High School Class of 1955.
Lyndon entered active military service in the United States Navy Reserves in 1955 and served for eight years.
On April 23, 1966, Lyndon was united in marriage to Ruth Podratz at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gibbon, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Kevin and Corey. Lyndon and Ruth resided in rural Hector on the home farm. They shared 57 years of marriage.
Lyndon and his brother owned and operated the Hector Drain Tile Co. and Hector Ready Mix for 30 years. Lyndon was a life-long and active member of Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township.
Lyndon enjoyed ice fishing, league bowling, golfing, RV camping, and deer hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lyndon passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Buffalo Lake Health Care Center in Buffalo Lake, at the age of 86 years.

Children, Kevin Anderson of rural Hector, MN,
Corey Anderson and his significant other, Christine Freund of St. Paul, MN;
Sister-in-law, Jean Anderson of Hector, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Lyndon is preceded in death by his Parents, Louis and Emily Anderson; Siblings, Oral Anderson, Beatrice (Ejner) Jepsen, Newton Anderson.
