Service Information

Mabel Helen Schade, age 90, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at Savage Senior Living in Savage, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with interment in the Church Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, from 9:30-11:00 A.M., one and half hours prior to the service at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Minnesota Hospice Foundation (17645 Juniper Path, Lakeville, Minnesota 55044).

Obituary

Mabel Helen Schade was born on November 14, 1931, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Schuette) Luehrs. Mabel was baptized as an infant on November 19, 1931, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 20, 1945, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She received her education in District 39, a one-room schoolhouse in Glencoe.

On June 26, 1953, Mabel was united in marriage to Willard Schade at the Schuette Parsonage in Glencoe by
E. A. Schuette. This marriage was blessed with four children, Ronald, Linda, Barbara, and Keith. Mabel and Willard made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota. They shared 58 years of marriage, before the passing of Willard on October 25, 2011.

Mabel was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

Mabel enjoyed traveling and camping every chance she got. She was one for keeping a neat and tidy home. Mabel especially cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Mabel provided a loving start to many children; including extended family and neighbors through daycare she provided in her home.

Mabel passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Savage Senior Living Center in Savage, Minnesota, at the age of 90 years. Blessed be her memory.

Mabel is survived by her:
Daughter, Barbara Kietzman, and her husband, Jeff of Waseca, Minnesota;
Son, Keith Schade and his wife, Kris of Savage, Minnesota;
Grandchildren, Jessica Malik and her husband, Haseeb, Paul Kietzman;
Great-grandchildren, Charley and Patton Kietzman;
Brothers, Elmer Luehrs;
Sister-in-law, Sylvia Luehrs;
Many other relatives and friends.

Mabel is preceded in death by her Parents, Alfred and Esther Luehrs; Husband, Willard Schade; Son, Ronald Schade; Daughter, Linda Schade; Siblings, Edwin Luehrs, Marvin Luehrs, Melvin Luehrs, Helen Sandland; Niece, Debra Wendland.

    Our thoughts and prayers to the remaining Schade family. Always remember the times our families visited together on our farm or in Glencoe.
