Margie Maureen Robinson

Obituary

Margie Robinson was born on January 8, 1945, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ross and Elaine (Petersen) Robinson. Margie was baptized as an infant, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth both at the First Lutheran Church in Hector, Minnesota.  She received her education in Hector, and was a graduate of the Hector High School Class of 1963.

On October 3, 1964 Margie was united in marriage to James Schiro at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Randy and Kim. Margie resided in Hector, Minneapolis, and later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Margie was employed as a meter reader for the city of Hutchinson, and later became employed at Montgomery Wards.  She worked as a secretary for the DNR for 20+ years. She retired in May 13, 2010. Margie was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She sang in the church choir and sang with Sweet Adeline’s.

Margie Robinson enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable garden, quilting, decorating, and dancing to polka and old time music. She also liked to travel, exercise and go shopping with her daughter and sisters. She especially cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Margie passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, at her home in Hutchinson, at the age of 71 years.

Margie Robinson is preceded in death by her Parents, Ross and Elaine (Petersen) Robinson.
