Marguerite Pioske age 96, of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, at the Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, October 9th, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Sibley County with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Obituary
Marguerite Marion (Hill) Pioske was born on October 11, 1918, in Niles, Michigan. She was the daughter of Orville and Edith (Wolfe) Hill. Marguerite was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Michigan City, Indiana. She furthered her education at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and received an Elementary Education Degree. When in college, she played tennis, intramural badminton, and enjoyed drawing. Marguerite resided in Michigan City where she met her husband, Gordon, while he was serving in the Navy.
On June 12, 1943, Marguerite was united in marriage to Gordon Pioske in Michigan City, Indiana. After their marriage the couple farmed in Kelso Township, Sibley County. Marguerite and Gordon were blessed with three sons and they shared 42 years of marriage before Gordon passed away on September 2, 1985.
Marguerite was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township, the Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Extension group.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her children were her life.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Marguerite became a resident of Oak Terrace Health Care in Center 2009, and passed away there on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the age of 96 years. Blessed be her memory.
Marguerite is survived by her:
Son, Lee Pioske and his wife, Angelita of Phoenix, AZ;
Daughters-In-Law, Judy Pioske of Waconia, MN, and Starla Pioske of Le Sueur, MN;
Many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her Parents, Orville and Edith Hill; Husband, Gordon Pioske; Sons, Paul Pioske and David Pioske; and Brother, Garrett Hill.
