Marian Zollner, age 86, of Fairfax, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at her home in Fairfax.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 29, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021, from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Memorials preferred to St. Andrew’s Catholic Parish.
Obituary
Marian Crescentia Zollner was born on June 6, 1935, in Home Township, Brown County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Reinarts) Simon. Marian was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in New Ulm and was a graduate of the New Ulm Catholic High School Class of 1953.
On June 2, 1954, Marian was united in marriage to Albie Zollner at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Ulm. After their marriage, the couple resided in Cairo Township. They were blessed with five children. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Marian and Albie shared 53 years of marriage when Albin passed away on September 29, 2007.
Marian had a strong faith and was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and was skilled at embroidery and other needlework projects. Marian thoroughly enjoyed playing dice and numerous card games with her close friends in the apartment building where she lived. She had a special way of connecting with others and building meaningful relationships. Some of Marian’s most cherished moments were the times she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marian passed away surrounded by her family and friends at her home in Fairfax on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the age of 86 years. Blessed be her memory.

Children, Michael Zollner of Fairfax, MN,
Donna Aarons and her husband, Charlie of Maple Grove, MN,
Patrick Zollner and his wife, Lisa of Surprise, AZ, and
Debra Zollner and her significant other, Timothy Roberts of Redwood Falls, MN;
5 Grandchildren, James, Miranda, Austin, Jenny, Mason;
3 Great grandchildren, Katelyn, William and Vaughn;
Sisters-in-law, Bernice Dietz and her husband, Danny, Rose Zollner, Cleo Grosam and her husband, Ben;
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her Parents, Joseph and Caroline Simon; Son, Steven Zollner; Husband, Albin Zollner; Sisters, Rose Simon and Gertrude Hegler; Brothers, Wilfred Simon in infancy, Arthur Simon, Wesley Simon and Willmar Simon.
