Obituary

Marjorie Gertrude Huls was born on September 19, 1930, in Sumter Township, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ed and Grace (Seehusen) Rewerts. Marjorie was baptized as an infant on October 8, 1930, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 2, 1944, both at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1948.

On Aug. 12, 1950, Marjorie was united in marriage to Rudolph “Rudy” Huls at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with four children, Ralph, Marilyn, Roland and Roger. Marjorie and Rudy made their home in Hutchinson. They shared 64 years of marriage until Rudy passed away on April 15, 2015,

Marjorie was employed at Telex Communications in Glencoe, Minnesota. She retired in 1994. After retiring, Marjorie worked for Prince of Peace, cleaning from fall of 1995 until December 31, 2014. Marjorie was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She was also a member of Dorcas Women’s Group and helped with funeral lunches.

Marjorie enjoyed gardening and fishing. She also enjoyed traveling to Arizona for the winter with her husband, Rudy where they loved socializing and playing games with friends. She also loved helping her daughter Marilyn make graduation quilts. Marjorie especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Marjorie passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, at the age of 93 years.
