Marlene Braun, age 59, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Hutchinson Health Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
Interment will be held in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, rural Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
Obituary
Marlene Audrey Braun was born October 27, 1956, in Olivia, Minnesota, the daughter of Wilbur and Mary (Goelz) Braun. She was baptized on November 4, 1956, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, and was confirmed in her faith there on February 23, 1969. Marlene moved with her family to various locations during her childhood, and attended various schools. She graduated from the Danube High School.
In 1975, Marlene moved to Mankato where she lived until 1987. She then moved to Willmar where she lived until moving to Hutchinson in 1996. Marlene worked with West Central Industries, giving her the opportunity to do a variety of jobs. Her residence was with Aveyron Homes in Hutchinson, and she thoroughly enjoyed the staff and her friends she lived with.
Marlene loved animals. When she wasn’t working, she kept busy with her favorite activities, including puzzles, crafts, dancing, bowling, and shopping. She liked going on trips, and especially enjoyed her trips to Florida and Hawaii.
Marlene spent her last weeks in Harmony River Living Center. She passed away Monday afternoon, October 24, 2016, at the Hutchinson Health Hospital at the age of 59 years, three days before her 60th birthday. Blessed be her memory.

Marlene was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandparents, Brother, Gerald Braun, and Nephew, Michael Molenaar.

Marlene was always happy and in a good mood. She came twice a week to clean our business with WCI. I always complimented her on her hair. I’m glad we crossed paths.
