Obituary

Marlys Adeline (Harbarth) Warzecha was born on June 14, 1945, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alvin and Eileen (Schauer) Harbarth. Marlys was baptized as an infant at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota. She first attended county school, then completed school at Gaylord Public School in Gaylord.

Marlys converted from the Lutheran faith to the Catholic faith before the couple married. Marlys was united in marriage to Jerome Frank Warzecha on May 29, 1965, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gaylord, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Karen and Larry. Marlys and Jerome shared over 58 years together when Jerome passed away on January 27, 2024.
