Obituary

Mary Linda (Hensel) Husberg was born on June 26, 1946, in Fairmont, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Edward and Linda (Hilgemeier) Hensel.  Mary was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth.  She received her education in Winnebago, Minnesota.  Mary furthered her education by graduating from Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a teaching degree.

On June 20, 1970, Mary was united in marriage to William “Bill” Husberg at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, Minnesota.  After Mary and Bill were married they moved to New York and then in 1980 they made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota.  They were blessed with two children, Sarah and Mikhael.  Mary and Bill shared over 46 years of marriage.  

Mary’s first job teaching was in Watertown, Wisconsin, 10 years in New York City, New York, and then at First Evangelical Lutheran School in Glencoe, teaching social studies for 5^th - 8^th graders for 37 years.  She was an active member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.  Mary also volunteered at the Health Nut Pantry in Glencoe. 

Mary enjoyed antiques, garage sales and family, treasuring the time spent with family and friends. 

Mary passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 22 days.  Blessed be her memory.

Daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Husberg of Glencoe, MN;
Son, Mikhael Gideon Jacob Husberg of Glencoe, MN;
Grandchild, Iris Husberg of Glencoe, MN;
Sister, Alice Hart and her husband, Donald, of Shakopee, MN;
Brother, Richard Hensel and his wife, Gloria, of Elk River, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Linda Hensel; Sister, Evelyn Swenson; Brother, Robert Hensel.
