Mavis Kruschke, age 88, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Caley House in Princeton, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with interment following at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Monday.
Obituary
Mavis Joyce (Huser) Kruschke was born on October 24, 1927, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of George and Clara (Schmidt) Huser. Mavis was baptized as an infant on November 13, 1927, by Rev. E. Kolbe and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 27, 1941, by Rev. R. Streufert both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating from Glencoe High School.
On February 28, 1948, Mavis was united in marriage to Orland Herman Kruschke by Rev. Streufert at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. Mavis and Orland made their home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Kathy, Peggy and Ted. Mavis and Orland shared over 66 years of marriage together, until Orland passed away on April 13, 2014.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Mavis owned and operated Headquarters Café in Lester Prairie, with her husband Orland and was a bookkeeper for 25 years at the Lester Prairie Feed Mill. Mavis was an active member at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, attended bible study and helped prepare sandwiches for the Sandwich Ministry.
Mavis enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing and sewing. She was a hard worker always devoted to her husband and family, treasuring the time spent with them.
Mavis passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2015, at Caley House in Princeton, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 27 days.

Sister, LaJune Dibb of St. Cloud, MN;
Brother-In-Law & Sisters-In-Law, Ruben Kruschke and his wife, Ruth, of Glencoe, MN,
Bernice Kruschke of Hutchinson, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Mavis is preceded in death by her Parents, George and Clara Huser; Husband, Orland Kruschke; Brother, Norman Huser and his wife, Bea; Brothers-In-Law & Sisters-In-Law, Earl Dibb, Ardin Kruschke, Vernon Kruschke and his wife, Freida, Margaret Rehmann and her husband, Irvin.
