Mavis Lange, age 86, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Ecumen Oaks in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Due to Covid-19 a Private Family Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.

Obituary
Mavis Merva (Soeffker) Lange was born on December 31, 1933, in Arlington, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ralph and Ella (Fenske) Soeffker. Mavis was baptized as an infant on January 21, 1934, by Rev. K. F. Heidmann, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 21, 1948, by Rev. John Bradtke both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. She received her education in Arlington, Minnesota.
On September 29, 1956, Mavis was united in marriage to Orlin Lange by Rev. John Bradtke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. Mavis and Orlin made their home at the family farm in Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Jacqueline. Mavis and Orlin shared over 42 years of marriage until Orlin passed away on December 5, 1998.
Mavis was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and farmwife. She did seasonal work for Green Giant in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe.
Mavis enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, watching the Minnesota Twins, playing cards, bingo and writing letters. She cherished the time spent visiting with her family and friends. Mavis enjoyed living at Ecumen Oaks in Hutchinson for the past 18 years where she gained many friendships with the staff and residents
Mavis passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Ecumen Oaks in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years and 6 months.

Ruth Bode of Arlington, MN;
Nephews, Nieces, Other relatives and many friends, which include many treasured friends at Ecumen Oaks Assisted Living.
Mavis was preceded in death by her Parents, Ralph and Ella Soeffker; Husband, Orlin Lange; Father and Mother- In-Law, Walter and Bertha Lange; Siblings, Ronald Soeffker, LaDonna Ohland, Evangeline Kramer, Ralph Soeffker Jr.

Mavis was a wonderful friend to my mother when she was at the Oaks. When my mother passed I continued to visit her and have phone conversations. She was always so pleasant and appreciative. I will truly miss her.
