Mavis (Schuette) Nass, age 79, of Big Lake, Minnesota, and formerly of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Mavis Elise (Schuette) Nass was born on September 25, 1937, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edwin and Elsie (Dvorak) Schuette. Mavis was baptized as an infant on October 23, 1937, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 15, 1951, both by Rev. Alf. Streufert at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1955.
Mavis made her home in Glencoe, Big Lake and Moorhead, Minnesota. Her life was blessed with six children, Brian, Scott, Todd, Shelly, Mary and Troy. Mavis owned and operated Vivian’s Catering Service in Big Lake, Minnesota.
Mavis enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, bowling and reading. She cherished the time spent with family and friends.
Mavis passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Mavis is preceded in death by her Parents, Edwin and Elsie Schuette; Brothers, Richard Schuette, David Schuette; Sisters, Earleen Mills, Donna Barney and her husband, Willis, Janet Posusta and her husband, Leonard; Brother-In-Law, Stan Forss.

Though I know that this is a difficult time for you, my hope is that you will be comforted from God’s inspired word the Bible. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21: 3,4 gives hope of a future resurrection and the complete elimination of death, pain and mourning.
