Maynard L. Rannow, age 96, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Cedar Crest Estate in Silver Lake, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at St. John’s Church in Hassan Valley Township, McLeod County, Minnesota, with interment following in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Maynard Frank Louis Rannow was born November 5, 1927, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of George and Frieda (Jungclaus) Rannow. Maynard was baptized and later confirmed in his faith as a youth both at St. John’s Church in Hassan Valley Township, McLeod County, Minnesota.
On November 5, 1965, Maynard was united in marriage to Eileen Kelm. The couple resided in Glencoe. Maynard and Eileen shared 23 years together until Eileen passed away on August 23, 1990. On February 14, 1991, Maynard married Gloria Olson. The couple resided in Glencoe.
Maynard was a lifelong farmer in the rural Glencoe area. He worked at Nordic Track just outside Glencoe, as a security officer. Maynard was a member at St. John’s Church in Hassan Valley Township, McLeod County, Minnesota.
Maynard enjoyed the outdoors; fishing and deer hunting. He also enjoyed bowling and re-learning to play the concertina.
Maynard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Cedar Crest Estates in Silver Lake, Minnesota, at the age of 96. Blessed be his memory.

Step Great-Grandchildren; Travaius, Camren, Brielle, Benjamin, Auna, Desaraye, Aria;
Sister, Marlys Vinkemeier of Watertown, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives, and Friends.
Maynard was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, George and Frieda Rannow; Spouses, Eileen Rannow, Gloria Rannow; Siblings, Doris (Ray) Bren, Eileen (Glen) Moehring, Donna (Clarence) Baumann; Brother-in-law, Roger Vinkemeier.

Maynard God Bless You. He always had a Smile on his face. I will miss you. He was a good grandfather to my children and my kids loved helping him milk the baby calves in the barn and playing with the kittens.
