Service Information
Merle Molash, age 69, of Gaylord passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home in Gaylord.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 30, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Creekside Community Church in Arlington. Interment will be at a later date.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Obituary
Merle Adolphus Molash was born on January 20, 1948, in Cass Lake, Minnesota, to Kneeland and Lurley (Hardy) Molash. Merle was baptized as a youth and later reaffirmed his faith as an adult. He received his education in Cass Lake and was a graduate of the Cass Lake High School Class of 1966.
Merle worked for the federal forestry in Cass Lake, the canning factory in Arlington, Farmhand in Green Isle until they closed; this is where he learned to be a machinist; and for Cherrington Corporation in Fairfax, retiring in 1999.
On June 12, 1976, Merle was united in marriage to Dorothy Hightshoe in Puposky, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Gaylord. They were blessed with two sons, Shane and Tommy. Merle and Dorothy shared 41 years of marriage.
Merle was a member of the Creekside Community Church in Arlington.
Merle was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed classic cars and had a vast knowledge of general maintenance, camping and taking country drives to find wildlife. He was very active in Cub and Boy Scouts with his sons, until they received their Eagle Scout. Merle was the Assistant Scoutmaster. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Merle passed away after declining health on Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home in Gaylord at the age of 69 years. Blessed be his memory.

Wife, Dorothy Molash of Gaylord, MN;
Sons, Shane Molash and his wife, Tessa of Gaylord, MN, and
Tommy Molash and his wife, Amy of Willmar, MN;
Grandchildren, Hannah, Bethany, Nevaeh, and Eli Molash;
Sister, Helen Hall of Motley, MN;
Brother, Earl Molash of Wadena, MN;
Many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Merle was preceded in death by his Parents, Kneeland and Lurley Molash; Sisters, Josephine Austin, Mabel Roepke and Ilene Wiest.
