Deb and Steve Nelson says
We are so sorry for your loss. Mick was so wonderful….great husband, great dad and great grandpa. And lets not forget what a great friend he was to so many. He loved having friends stop by at the lake and always made everyone feel so welcome. Always was so full of news. It won’t be the same stopping at the cabin but we will adjust and will still be stopping as his family learned from him to welcome their visitors and you do so just like him. He was lucky to have such a wonderful family. We will miss him, but will never forget the friendship we had with him and will continue to keep it with the rest of you. Love and prayers to all of you. See you tomorrow and Thursday.

To the family of Michael “Mick” Cox,
Please accept my condolences at the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. At a much younger age I was friends with Geri and knew Mick’s and Bill’s parents Bill & Dorothy quite well, as they were very dear friends of my mom & dad; Dan & Peg. Recently I was able to connect with Bill through Facebook and was able to once again join the circle of friends from so long ago! Hugs to all of you as my family offers prayers for peace of mind and faith in your God, family and friends!

I would like to express my extreme condolences to all the Cox family. I know Bill is the only one that knows me. I was an old friend of theirs from back in the early 70’s. I have searched FB for the past several years to get in touch with them and all of a sudden Mick found me in April on FB. We talked for about an hour on messenger trying to Catch up but we decided to get together this winter when I have a planned trip to Hutchinson. I am very disssppointed that it will not take place. Please accept my most sincere sympathies to the entire family.

My condolences to the Cox family. I shared many happy times with Mick and Bill at Southwest States. Bill found me on FB and drove down to Marshall to visit with us during Homecoming.
Rest in peace my friend.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I went to school in the same telecommunications class with Mick at Wadena in 1977-78. He was one of the most interesting, smart, caring, and fun persons I had ever met. I have always remembered his friendship during those years and was saddened to recently learn of his passing. I recall the blue Pontiac Trans Am he drove while in Wadena, and how I wished I one just like his because Mick really seemed to enjoy driving it. After graduating with Mick from Wadena Area VoTech, I went to work for the Winsted Telephone Company in Minnesota. Mick was the best. Rest in Peace.
