Obituary
Michael “Mike” Wesley Holm was born in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, on December 28, 1964. He was the son of Wesley and Donna (Eckard) Holm. Mike received his education in Silver Lake, Minnesota, and was a graduate of Silver Lake High School Class of 1983. After graduation, he attended St. Cloud State University where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. During his working career, he worked in various Information Systems and Marketing positions for Boeing, Fingerhut, Accenture, Best Buy and Select Comfort.
When Mike wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting guns and outdoor equipment, bargain hunting at flea markets, lending a hand to anyone that asked and spending time with friends and family. Mike was happiest when sharing his friend’s successes whether it was someone else catching the largest fish, shooting the biggest buck, or assisting them with completing that never-ending project. He was always glad to be a part of the accomplishment, to have shared the experience, and to later tell the story of their success with the same enthusiasm as if it was his own.
Mike passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his home in Minnetonka. He will be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives were touched with his generosity and friendship.
Mike is survived by his:
Mother, Donna Holm;
Sister, Laurie Klawitter;
Brother, Mark Holm and his wife, Kelly;
Nephew, Zach Klawitter and his wife, Beth;
Niece, Abbie Watson and her husband, Jake;
Many other relatives and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his Father, Wesley Holm.

My deepest condolences. I am truly saddened by the news of Mike passing. I have some found memories growing up with Mike in Silver Lake. He was always willing to help with my homework in school. He got along with everyone! Luckily we were friends on Facebook to keep in touch, and to see the places he has visited. I will be praying for strength, peace and comfort for his family and friends. Heaven is receiving a great guy!

So sad to hear of Mike’s passing. He was such a joy to have in my kindergarten Sunday school class in Silver Lake, so polite and a good listener at that age! Many years later I talked with him at a funeral there, still a wonderful person, My condolences to you, Donna and your family.

So sad to hear of Mike’s passing. In the early 1970s he was the one I could hang out with with his brother Mark when we met at Granite Falls and went to Jeralds farm. Fond memories of a very well respected man! Rip

My dear aunt Donna – I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was way too young and was such a great guy. It was so much fun to have him finally come to a family reunion and get reunited. He and Mark both. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope I get to see you before too long. I get car sick after two hours of riding in a car and having a knee replaced in August so that long of riding wouldn’t work either. Love you and your family so much.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My wife, Linnea, and I have been Mike’s neighbor for the past two years. He was always willing to help and even let me borrow a shotgun for last years deer season. He will be missed on Baker Rd. We are praying for his family.
