Mildred “Milli” A. Navara

Obituary

Mildred “Milli” Navara was born on September 17, 1939, to Frank and Blanche Navara. Milli passed away peacefully on December 04, 2023, in Hutchinson, MN.

Milli spent the majority of her career in banking with Norwest Bank and was a Vice President with TCF Bank at the time of her retirement. In retirement, Milli moved from Hopkins, MN back to her childhood home on the Navara farm just north of Stewart Minnesota. She spent much of her time in retirement caring for her parents and sister, Marge.

Milli enjoyed traveling, making many trips to visit family members and exploring Europe, Mexico, and the U.S. Milli was an active member of the St. Boniface Catholic community, helping with bookkeeping and other administrative work. Milli also enjoyed visiting with friends, talking about current affairs, and baking. She loved her family and was very proud of her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephew, and her great grandnieces.

Milli was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Blanche, her brother Richard Navara, and her sisters Marie Gilbertson and Marge Navara. Milli is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Navara; nieces and nephews: Timothy Gilbertson of East Sussex, England (UK); Thomas Navara of Chanhassen, MN; Lisa Wolski of Arlington, VA and Susan Korkowski of Alexandria, MN and their children and grandchildren.

We will celebrate Milli’s life with a visitation and funeral at the St. Boniface Catholic church on December 16, 2023, at 551 Main St., Stewart, MN 55385. A one-hour visitation will begin at 10:00 with the funeral immediately following at 11:00. Please join the family for lunch in the church basement after a short burial service at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
