Nancy Wraspir

Obituary

Nancy Marie Wraspir was born on June 15, 1945, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Lorraine (Vacek) Zaruba. Nancy was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her faith as a youth.  She received her education in Glencoe, and was a graduate of the Glencoe High School.

On September 2, 1967, Nancy was united in marriage to Orrin Wraspir Jr. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Silver Lake, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with four children, Lynette, Amy, Daniel, and Scott. Nancy and Orrin resided in rural Silver Lake, and Nancy later moved to Hutchinson after Orrin passed away. They shared 36 years of marriage until Orrin passed away in 2003.

Nancy worked on her family Hobby Farm near Silver Lake. Nancy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading, watching television, and going out to eat with family. Nancy and Orrin also enjoyed gambling at casinos. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Nancy moved into Prince of Peace Retirement Living in Hutchinson in 2014. She passed away at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the age of 72 years.

Grandchildren, Hunter Wraspir and Adam Wraspir;
Brother, Elroy Zaruba of Hutchinson, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Lorraine Zaruba; and Husband, Orrin Wraspir Jr.
