Obituary
Nolan Leo Majeski was born on December 30, 1986, in Arlington, Minnesota. He was the son of Joel and Lynn (Schoeberl) Majeski. Nolan was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. In 2002 while in high school, Nolan started working for a local bee company, Honls Bee’s. There, he developed a passion for working with honey bees. He enjoyed exploring and learning the ropes of raising bees and harvesting honey. Nolan was also employed at the local grocery store throughout high school.
After graduating from GFW High School in 2005, Nolan continued working for Honls Bee’s while earning a degree in non-destructive metal testing from Ridgewater College. After 2 years in the field, Nolan began traveling out of state, working for Tri-State Drilling as a heavy equipment operator.
In 2013, Nolan took a huge leap of faith, following his passion in life, and purchased a bee business, Majeski Apiaries. Nolan knew right away he wanted his business to grow and expand, which brought him to Marshall, Texas. Nolan started off by staying in a hotel room alone, driving around, finding people to introduce himself to. In just a few short years, Nolan developed several work relationships as well as treasured friendships. In preparation for today’s service, the family has been contacted on multiple occasions in regards to the impact Nolan has left on this Texan community.
Nolan was an avid hunter, spending many hours on the water hunting geese and ducks. He also enjoyed big game hunting for deer, bear, as well as a hunting trip to Africa in 2009. As a life time member at the Winthrop Game Protective League, he worked to improve his shot to near perfection. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his four Nieces/Goddaughters. Nolan’s true passion was the outdoors - hunting, bee keeping, swimming, bonfires, taking in God’s creation.
Nolan will be missed dearly, by his family and friends. All that knew him, loved him. His generosity and heart of gold are rare treasures not found often in this world. He was a man that would do anything for anyone, always with a smile. His sense of humor and contagious charisma will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Nolan passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 8, 2018, in a hit and run accident, as he was riding a dirt bike in Marshall, Texas, at the age of 31 years. Blessed be his memory.

I am one of the Marshall, Texas landowners and met Nolan the first spring he was down here. I am so saddened by his passing. You have been in our prayers. I always looked forward to Nolan’s call which meant winter is over and spring has arrived. He was excited last year on the amount of honey he is hives produced on our place. He was sending pics to all his friends. We visited just the other day about Caddo Lake. He finally got to tour this beautiful lake. We talked of places on the lake I could show him. The Lord has other plans for Nolan, but he made lots of friends in Marshall in his brief time here. My prayers are with your family. Blessings.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

The Majeski Family,
You have our condolences on the untimely passing of Nolan.
We knew Nolan for a few years when he took over the bee’s from Marjean and Chuck Hendrycks. Marjean and Chuck kept bee’s at our farm for many years. We were happy that Nolan would continue keeping the bee’s here. We live near New Ulm and Klossner.
We were impressed by Nolan’s great personality and energy. He was a fine young man!
From our house, we can see where the bee’s were kept. We’ve been reflecting a lot about what has transpired. We are very sad and bummed. We will think of Nolan often!
Sent with love,
Rita and Peter Kitzberger
